Canada named most Christmassy country in the world

Can you name all of the reindeer by heart? Duh, stupid question– of course, you can! You’re Canadian! And everybody knows that Canada is the most Christmassy place in the whole entire world. Well at least, now everybody knows, thanks to a Global Festive Ranking. Keep reading for the scoop!

We took on the likes of Norway, Iceland, and Sweden, but our home and native land still took the number one spot! We were judged based on our Christmas travel recognition, the chance of snow, and the popularity of Christmas music in our country… which makes sense, ‘cause most of us have been going hard on the Michael Buble as of late.

Shockingly though, it wasn’t his chocolatey voice that set us apart. Turns out our distinctive yuletide anthem is Sarah McLachlan’s Away in a Manger– a plot twist we weren’t expecting, but hey! It’s better than In The Arms of The Angel.

Despite our Xmas listening habits, we were also the country with the sixth highest chance of a white Christmas (43.55% chance of snow on Christmas day, FYI), the place with ‘the world’s best-skating rink’ (what’s up Lake Louise), and the all-around judge’s pick for coolest place. Okay, so we made the last part up but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were actually true.

If you wanna see who else made the ranking, you can peek below for a little summary!
