Celebrate all things winter at this amazing carnival

Canmore, Canmore, Canmore. You usually get overshadowed by Banff, but we have to admit we have a soft spot for you…especially since you host an unreal winter party every year. We can’t wait to get crazy at the carnival, so stay tuned for everything that’s in store!
Get ready for two weeks of pure snowy fun. With indoor and outdoor events and experiences including ice carving competitions, kids’ ice carving, a pooch parade, World Cup biathlon races and Snowy Owl Kid N’ Mutt races, there’s never a dull moment.

We’re particularly stoked about the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup Opening Ceremonies. Why? Well, when else do we get the chance to mingle with Olympic Athletes, all while jamming to live music, watching fireworks, and taking in a parade of nations?!
And not to pump our own tires too much, but we’re feeling pretty confident about the BeaverTails Eating Competition. Yes, it’s a real thing, and yes, we plan on winning. It’ll be our second trophy of the festival since we also plan on flexing our chops at the Log Sawing Comp.
As we said, there’s really no shortage of fun events at the Canmore Winter Carnival. But if you wanna see the full schedule of must-see’s, you can click right here.
