It’s another sad day for the retail world, friends. Canadian clothing company Le Chateau has just announced that they will be closing all stores country-wide.
Le Chateau is only one of many companies that have had to shut down due to the months of COVID closures, but this one feels especially sad because they’ve been around so long.

For 60 years they’ve mostly sold formal wear and accessories, more recently branching out into more ‘casual’ fits.
Fortunately, as they liquidate they will remain fully operational, which, we’re hoping will give their 1,400 employees some time to find work elsewhere.
Now, we know we’ve said it before, but heck, we’re going to say it again. We really hope that this is the last Canadian store that we see shut down for a long… long time. Stay positive out there, friends! We’ll be out of this eventually, maybe even sooner than we think!
