Wheewwie. We’re in for a spicy one. According to AccuWeather, Canada’s summer 2020 forecast is calling for bad flip flop tans, under knee sweat and emotional support fans and honestly, we’re not ready.
They’re calling it a ‘warmer than average’ year with some provinces even experiencing heat-related risks.
British Columbia and Western Alberta are expected to be excessively dry, which we know from several years of similar circumstance is a recipe for wildfires and cracked up desert lips.

The rest of Alberta, as well as Saskatchewan, will likely be safe from forest fires, but may still experience a seasonal drought, no thanks to Ontario who will practically hog all of Canada’s rain for the summer.
The Great Lakes region will be hit particularly hard by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall among other things.
“This may end up being an above-average year for tornadoes across Ontario,” Brett Anderson, Veteran Meteoroglist told AccuWeather. “Increased warmth and humidity will be factors as these will help feed the storms.”
This rainfall will not only greatly affect those within the more central parts of the country, but Atlantic Canada as well. In Quebec, humid is the word, and we are so, so, sorry guys.
Luckily for those farther East, living in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia will enjoy pleasant conditions. Pleasant, that’s it. That’s what they’re calling for over there!
Damnit 2020, even your summer forecast is all over the shop! We guess we’ll see you all in PEI, where the Summers are fine and the fish are aplenty.
