An 86-year old seamstress in Calgary has made over 400 medical masks

Ah, now this is the type of content we absolutely love to see! Calgary veteran seamstress Maria Gal is living her best life right now. The 86-year old is not only doing what she’s most passionate about but she’s giving back to the community and maybe even saving lives while shes doing it.
Gal, who lives in a seniors apartment complex is retired now but still uses every opportunity to do what she’s been doing since she was 16; sew.

What began as making cloth medical masks for her friends, family, and church, has become a larger-than-life venture. In fact, she’s made so many of the life-saving PPE, she’s had to wait on fabric restocks.
According to Global News, Maria Gal alone, has actually made over 400 masks and counting and shows no signs of slowing down, which is incredible! Keep at it, queen! You are amazing!
