What tops your list of fall destinations? Maybe New York, or Europe, perhaps Hawaii? Are you dreaming of a getaway to an Airbnb in Regina? Wait… Regina? Yep. This unexpected Saskatchewan city topped the list of trending Airbnb fall destinations. Worldwide. We’ll give that a hot second to sink in.

Airbnb has become a favourite for vacation stays as an alternative to hotels. Many a traveller now books their accomodations via the site, so they’ve gotten some major insight into where people want to go. Airbnb just released their top trending fall desinations for 2019, and Regina (of all places) claimed top spot!

The list was created by the percentage increase in bookings versus last year. Here are the top 10:

2. Beatenberg, Switzerland (312%)
3. Beppu, Japan (288%)
4, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico (279%)
5. Culebra, Puerto Rico (250%)

8. Anderson, South Carolina (247%)
9. Pinehurst, North Carolina (243%)

Alrighty. Well, we have to credit Tourism Regina with working hard to make sure people know Regina is a lovely spot to spot fall leaves and enjoy the turn of seasons. We guess Saskatchewan has a certain utter flatness charm to it.
