You’ve got the partner, you’ve got the ring, you’ve got a list of more guests than you can count, but you don’t have a venue. Have no fear! We’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of every incredible downtown wedding venue that Calgary has to offer.

Hudson Event Spaces

First on the list is Hudson. This state-of-the-art event complex is located in one of downtown Calgary’s most beautiful locations: Stephen Avenue. As if being surrounded by the beautiful architecture that 8th Avenue has to offer isn’t enough, Hudson is located in one of our favourites: Hudson’s Bay’s iconic heritage building. Located on the 6th floor, Hudson boasts spectacular views, outstanding service offerings, and consists of two unique venues: the contemporary Hudson Loft and the grand Hudson Flat, totalling over 18,000 square feet of event space.

Sub Rosa

Second up is Sub Rosa, a lower level haven. Sub Rosa features vintage-style furniture of deep red tones and dark brown leather that plays off the existing qualities of the historic space. Oversized artwork, dramatic drapery, and custom statement lighting make this unique venue the perfect backdrop for weddings that are out of the ordinary.

Teatro

Teatro is another beautiful venue worth considering for your wedding. Italian for “Theatre”, Teatro is one of the longest standing dining flagship establishments in Calgary. With an in-house events manager at
your fingertips, Teatro prides themselves in making your wedding planning process as seamless as possible. Plus, you are sure to wow your guests with their team behind you offering world-class service and attention.

The Palace Theatre

If the dance floor is a vital part of your decision making when it comes to booking your wedding venue, then The Palace Theatre might be just the location for you. Built in 1941, during the golden age of movie houses, this historic venue is perfectly romantic. With its elaborate plaster ceilings, elegant exterior, grand marble staircases, and an incredible stage set up, your wedding will be the party your guests talk about for years to come.

The Pioneer

Last but definitely not least, is the Pioneer. This tailored event space embraces ‘new west’ values while shaking up the standard. The stunning venue is great for the couple with an industrial edge and is comprised of multiple spaces, including the Tall Gallery, Mezzanine and The Mill.

All of these amazing venue choices are rich in history, with interiors as beautiful as their exteriors. Now that you’ve got your venue options down, it’s time to find the dress…
