Wine and dine this month at Calgary’s best wine festival
Can you name a more iconic duo than wine and uh…more wine? Nope, you can’t. Luckily, this dynamic duo is what Winefest Calgary is all about. Spend an evening acting like a sophisticated adult, sipping on some of the finest international wines, and snacking on delicious hors d’oeuvres.
The event returns to Calgary Feb 21st and 22nd, and some sessions tend to sell out, so be sure to get tickets lickety-split!
We believe rosé isn’t a season, it’s a lifestyle. For those of you who agree, you’re in luck. Winefest is doing a rosé feature! With over 60 different rosés, it’s quite literally rosé all day.
Not to mention, they’ll be including a multitude (over 300) of different wines from 13 countries. By the end of the night, we’ll be feeling VERY cultured.
Besides more wine, nothing pairs better with wine than food. Truly. Get your palate ready for some of the best hors d’oeuvres Calgary has to offer. If your ideal weekend is spent sampling tasty bites while drinking wine (sorry, who’s isn’t?!), then you’re in luck!
The Guild will be serving up poached pear & cheese crostinis, which will obviously pair well with wine, ‘cause cheese, duh. Some other honourable mentions go out to Springbank Cheese, Mojo Jojo Pickles, The Salt Cellar, Arepa Boss, and many, many more. Moral of the story? Feel free to come peckish.
Not only is Winefest an evening of fun for everyone, but it’s also a chance to give back to the community! All guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or make a monetary donation to the Calgary Food Bank. Guests who make a donation will be given a special prize ballot to be entered to win a $100 Sobeys and Safeway Liquor gift card or two tickets to the 2021 Winefest Saturday Afternoon Session! We’d call that drinking for a good cause.
