Vegan Street is opening YYC’s first full-service vegan cocktail & snack bar

Hit the brakes! Calgary’s plant-based food truck favourite is taking things to the next level. Successful mobile eatery Vegan Street is opening a full-service brick and mortar in the Beltline. We’re kinda hungry already.

The restaurant is set to open to the public this month, and will still feature familiar items like their mac and cheese veggie-burger, tasty tacos and a wide selection of poutines. Also, they’ve added a selection of vegan beers, wine, and cocktails. The vegan community should be able to wine and dine just like everyone else!

Honestly, we’re shocked it’s taken this long to open Calgary’s very first full-service vegan wine and cocktail bar, but it’s better late than never!

According to the restaurant’s Instagram, renos are still underway, so hang tight! Vegan Street has taken over and is completely reinventing the old Laurier Lounge Restaurant in the historic building where George Stanley (designer of the Canadian flag) grew up. Not a bad location, hey?

An exact opening date hasn’t been released just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated! Until then, anyone jonesing for a Mac Daddy can check the Street Food app for their mobile location.
