The Zoo’s only fully-licensed restaurant FINALLY reopens
May hasn’t brought us a ton of warm weather yet, but we feel it coming. You know what else is on the way? A wicked dining experience at the Calgary Zoo! Grazers, the zoo’s full-service, seasonal restaurant, is opening again on May 10. Stay tuned for a sneak peek into what’s in store!
One of Grazers’ greatest strengths is the freshness and sustainability of their ingredients, representing the zoo’s local roots. The majority of dishes are made from locally-sourced ingredients, ensuring a high-quality meal, one bite at a time. Some of the food is even grown in the zoo’s own Garden of Eatin’!
If the cute alpaca neighbors weren’t already enough, this resto’s menu has got some serious standouts. Their House-Baked Focaccia is a can’t miss. In more of a brioche mood? Try the AAA Alberta Beef Dip with delicious Okanagan red wine au jus.
Craving some lighter fare? Dive into the Zoo Cobb Salad. It’s made from “zoo-grown” and local greens, double-smoked bacon, cherry tomato confit, Bowden Farm free-range egg, pickled Poplar Bluff potato, Fairwinds chevre, avocado, and carrot and beet ribbons.
Grazers also offers themed buffets with a tasty variety of hot entrees, baked goods, soups, salads, and desserts. From locally-inspired eats to summer BBQ dishes to Italian specials, they cover just about every craving you could have.
