Purdy’s is releasing a vegan chocolate bar in Canada

Sometimes a company is an early adopter of niche markets and they win big. A&W did it with Beyond Meat, and now Purdy’s is throwing its hat in the ring. The over hundred-year-old, Vancouver based chocolatier has not so subtly announced that they will be releasing a vegan chocolate bar next week.

And we couldn’t be more excited about it. While it’s nice to try out a $6 artisanal bar from Whole Foods, we would love to see more options in the vegan chocolate market.
Purdy’s is coming correct about it too. With just 5 ingredients, the chocolate bar uses beet sugar and 100% sustainable cocoa to create their vegan chocolate. Oh, and it’s produced in a part of the factory where Purdy’s is able to ensure that there will be no cross contamination. Like M&M’s versus Peanut M&M’s!
Anyways, we’ve already got a list going of people we know would love to try these guys out. Do you?
