OEB is donating a dollar per poutine sold this weekend for their birthday

We couldn’t be more egg-cited! Put on your party hats, and toss a little confetti. One of Calgary’s favorite breakfast spots, OEB, is celebrating their 10th birthday!
Since opening their first location on Edmonton Trail in 2009, the brand has grown hugely. The egg-tacular all-day breakfast resto now has locations all over Canada, with an American takeover in the works.
In addition to Calgary, OEB has spread the love to Edmonton and Vancouver, with a new location opening up in Scottsdale, Arizona later this month. What a way to celebrate!
Before you’re like “what’s the big deal,” Well, OEB isn’t your run of the mill brekkie joint, oh no. At OEB, guests sink their teeth into art.
“Breakfast means so much more to me than just the first meal of the day,” said Chef Mauro Martina, owner and founder of OEB, in a press release about the big day.
Martina is classically trained and invested in the farm-to-table approach, inspired by his childhood in Italy. This guy has worked at Michelin Star restaurants alongside some of the industry’s best, so you know he doesn’t mess around when it comes to food.

“In a time when this important meal is often rushed, compromised on, or skipped altogether, I really wanted to create an uplifting breakfast experience through elevated quality, innovation, and service. For example, there are not too many places out there that have truffles on the menu or sturgeon caviar and duck and scallops.”
To say thank you to the community for all of their support and to celebrate their birthday weekend, OEB and Martina hope to give a little something back. From November 1st – November 3rd one dollar from every OEB Signature Poutine sold will be donated to a children’s charity! Not a bad excuse to go for breakfast, hey? Feast on, Calgary!
