Midtown Kitchen and Bar in Kensington closes permanently amid COVID crisis

It’s another sad day for Calgary’s hospitality scene as Midtown Kitchen and Bar in Kensington announces it’s the latest restaurant to close its doors due to the outbreak.
“After 6 long great years, we have had to close our doors. Being shut down due to COVID 19 and difficult landlords we have had to close up permanently,” they said in an Instagram post.

Midtown was a spring/summer hotspot thanks to its pet-friendly patio, great food, and an extensive list of local beers, so it really sucks to see them have to shut down.
“We want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years as we have had a great run and will miss many of you. Here’s to new beginnings.”
