Happy Hour of the Week: Buckets of Pilsner and exotic eats for under $10
Time is fleeting! March is already at our doorstep and it’s easy to feel like things are passing you by. Today, slow your roll over a few drinks with some good friends an appy or two. Trust us, you won’t have an issue winding down at our choice for this Happy Hour of the Week. This time around, we’re heading over to Calcutta Cricket Club for an entire bucket of Pilsner. Let’s check it out, shall we?
CALGARY HAPPY HOUR OF THE WEEK
The Calcutta Cricket Club is an intimate spot right along the ever-popular 17th Avenue. This lounge is warm, cozy and mysteriously lit. You’ll appreciate this when you get 2 or 3 drinks deep.
We’d almost consider Calcutta to be a fusion resto, despite the Eastern menu. Here, they do Indian food differently. Everything is elevated and comes with a twist. Nothing is really what it seems, but don’t get us wrong- this doesn’t mean it isn’t tasty!

If you’re looking for traditional dishes, this might not be the first place you think of. If you’re looking for an incredible happy hour, a 60s safari club meets “Golden Girl’s” vibe and an experience, we’re pretty sure you won’t be disappointed!
From Monday to Sunday between 5 pm and 6 pm, enjoy $2 far far and $6 paneer and chips with curry, which is a personal favourite. Also, enjoy chilli chicken, papri chaat or ghughni dip all for under $10.
As we mentioned earlier, if you’re really feeling wild, take on their $25 bucket of Jasper Pilsner. If you’re looking to have a quick one after work, they have $8 cocktails and wine, or $5 Aperol Spritz and $5 Annex Golden Ale Draft Beer.
Unfortunately, their happy hour is only an hour, so you’ll have to go in with your game face on. But don’t stress! We’ve seen some serious damage done in 60 minutes! Check you there, Calgary.
