Craft cocktails and Asian innovation at Mister Chen’s

Craft cocktails? Asian ingredients? An ultramodern setting? Yep, sounds good to us! We’re getting a new resto/lounge tomorrow Calgary, and it sounds like a heck of a good time. Keep reading for the scoop on chef Shaun Desaulniers’ Mister Chen’s!
If you’re into after-work drinks, pre-game drinks, late-night drinks or just regular old “why not?” drinks, Mister Chen’s is your spot. They’ve got a handcrafted menu with some mouthwatering options: Apricot Sours, a toasted sesame/cardamom/scotch concoction called “Wax On, Wax Off”, and a chocolate/gin/Aperol drink named “You’re Not Jim”, just to name a few.

But you’d be remiss if you didn’t try some unreal Asian dishes alongside your cocktails. With appies like Octopus Tacos and Charcoal Grilled Shishito Peppers, a raw selection with Ahi Tuna Crudo and Lamb Tartare, and mains like Pork Belly and Short Ribs, we don’t know how you could say no.
You can bet we’re gonna be diving into their Baos, Squid Ink Pasta, and Wild Boar Pot Stickers, too… And our meal wouldn’t be complete without a couple Matcha Tea Creme Brulees or Banana Spring Rolls. It’s gonna be a lot of food to take down, but we’re pretty sure the live music this weekend will help with the digestion.

Come to think of it, we might have to come back a few times to try everything on this menu. Wanna join, Calgary?
