Alright, Calgary. Let’s try this again! After a fake-out ahead of Calgary’s May 14th phase one relaunch, which gave 18 hours of notice to restaurants and salons that they were no longer allowed to reopen, Premier Jason Kenney assured the city that May 25th we could try it all over again. Today, we’re excited to announce that CRAFT Beer Market downtown has officially opened their restaurant and patio to the public at 50% capacity, marking the first day of a tasty summer.

In preparation, CRAFT has put several measures in place to protect diners from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. These precautions include:
- Low contact sections where guests can order through a mobile app
- Contactless payment options
- Staff temperature checks at the beginning of each shift
- Digital and single-use, recyclable menus
- Seating every other table to maintain at least 2m between guests
- Increased sanitization of high contact touchpoints and bathrooms
- Installation of foot “handles” for all bathroom doors
- Hand sanitizer at each table
- Staff schedule designed so the same group of Team Members work together to limit contact
- Service team will wear masks when not able to be 2 meters apart
The hot spot says that due to their 11,000 square foot indoor space and 4,000 square foot patio, they are able to ensure a comfortable distance between customers, which is what we like to hear.
“Over 120 rooftop beers and insane views of downtown Calgary are worth putting on pants for,” they said in an Instagram post, and ya know what? We agree!
The resto says that in order to guarantee a table they recommend booking a reservation which you can do on their website here. For those who would like to be seated on the patio, (which, let’s be real, will be everyone) to add your request in the notes section.
If you’re not ready to get back out into the world and feel as though you need a little more time, which is totally understandable; CRAFT will still be open 7-days a week for curbside pickup and delivery via Door Dash.
