Carmine’s New York-Style Pizzeria opens a brand-new location Friday!
The food gods have blessed us yet again, Calgary. New York-style resto Carmine’s Pizzeria has hit us with another location and it opens tomorrow! Full disclosure, these guys are an office favourite, so we’re buzzing. We don’t really care to do the math on how many slices the Curiocity team has personally consumed, it would be too revealing.
Carmine’s uses imported tomatoes, which makes a hell of a difference. Also, their herbs and cheese are Bel-Aire Prince fresh, their protein is prepared in-house, and also, their entire staff is just really nice.
Unlike their northwest location with a counter-only ordering system, Carmine’s will now have table service and more room to eat in and hang out, with a capacity of 32 people. They’re chartering date territory, folks! They also now have two double-stacked, 40-year old brick and gas ovens, which they’ve appropriately named Mama Mia and Big Sexy. 5 stars there.

Although seating arrangements have changed and their ovens now have identities, Carmine’s still remains the good ol’ authentic pizzeria we know and love. They’ll still serve beer and wine (phew) and their menu is no different (double phew).
Trust us, you’re going to want to get yourself acquainted with this place.Friday, February 28th, welcome them to the neighbourhood, give them a little love, and enjoy yourself a little slice of heaven or a deep-fried Mars bar. Or like, 7.
