Calgary’s newest resto serves Mediterranean food & luxe rainforest vibes
Via Orchard Restaurant / Facebook

Over the last year, we’ve lost some incredibly beautiful restaurants, but cry no more, Calgary, because Orchard is here to fill the void left by aesthetic faves like Royale and the Tea House.
This week (or when you can find a table because it’s booking up quickly), eat and drink under the crystal chandeliers and hanging plants of SODO’s newest resident.
Serving outrageously good looking Mediterranean food and cocktails, Orchard is a python away from being an actual jungle. Seriously, this place is on freaking point, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from the folks who also brought us Shelter.

Their chef, Jenny Kang, who has also worked as the head chef for both Shokunin Izakaya and The Bow Valley Ranche, has created an amazing menu that features amazing Asian-European eats.
Though, by looking at Instagram, you’d think that cheese-stuffed garlic bread is the only thing they serve; their fair-sized list of eats also includes items like Ratatoullie, Shishito Peppers, and Albacore Tuna Confit among others.
Orchard is open now, on Tuesdays through to Sundays, from 11 am to late – but we’d definitely recommend making a reservation before you check it out! They’ve been crazy busy since last Thursday when they officially opened to the public. You won’t regret it!
