Bar Modern is Stephen Ave’s hottest new spot

Bar Modern opened its doors just before the holidays and it has been a leading hangout spot for nightlife since. Residing in the main floor of a stunning heritage building on Stephen Avenue, Bar Modern is the sister restaurant to the well-beloved steakhouse, Modern Steak, which resides on the second floor.

If you’ve checked out a Modern Steak, you know that it’s a pretty polished spot. Bar Modern is as if Modern Steak had an “edgy cousin”, taking that polished look and turning it on its head. With a luxe modern interior, lavish food and drink menu, and a fun and attractive happy hour, Bar Modern has worked its way up to being one of our favourites of 2019.

From $6 happy hour Monday through Saturday from 2-6pm and 9 pm to close, you sure to stop by to stuff a mini wagyu corn dog (or two) into our mouths and wash it down with an ice cold Heineken. Plus, Thursdays starting at 2 pm, they have ½ price wine – Holla! They have a DJ booth and an unreal lounge area, so you’re sure to have somewhere comfortable to hang out when your evening turns into night and possibly turns into morning!
