We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, we strongly believe that February is probably the best tasting month on the calendar. From YYC Hot Chocolate Fest and comfort food specials to La Poutine Week – an international competition of gravy and grits – the next 28 days will be absolute bliss, especially if you’re a cowtown foodie.
For those of you who may not be sure how Canada’s cheesiest festival works, here’s a bit of a run down. Every year, in participation with the folks at Saputo, businesses from coast to coast are encouraged to craft a one of a kind, one time only dish. Each creation must resemble poutine in some way and can be as out of the box or practical as the restaurant would like.
This year, 12 different spots will participate in hopes of winning the title of Calgary’s favourite, and man oh man, we think that it might be a pretty tight race.
From restaurants to pubs and lounges, here is everyone who will be competing in 2021s La Poutine Week!
