It’s a food court! It’s a farmers’ market! No, it’s Avenida Food Hall & Fresh Market! Newly opened on Lake Fraser Drive, this delicious hotspot is something the city has never seen before: an upscale urban food hall incorporating the elements of farmers’ markets that we know and love.
So what exactly does that mean? Well, Avenida is described as a “culinary gathering place”. It’s less about the quick-serve aspect and more about experiencing food in a social setting. It’s open, it’s inviting, and it’s a first of its kind in Calgary.
