Well, hey there, foodie friends! With the weather looking the way that it does, you’re likely going to find yourself jonesing for some comfort food over the weekend. Instead of checking out the same old places and ordering the same old things, why not hit up one of these brand new restaurants in Calgary!

ORCHARD

Suit up, Calgary, it’s about to get boujee. Serving outrageously good looking Mediterranean food and cocktails, this brand new resto is practically a python away from being an actual jungle. Seriously, this place is on freaking point, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from the folks who also brought us Shelter. That being said, if you don’t have a reservation you’re going to have a tough time getting in. Book ahead, people!

Where: 134, 610 – 10th Avenue SW, Calgary

CHEMICAL STEVE’S BEER JOINT

Strapped for cash? At Chemical Steve’s on 17th, everything is $6 or less, meaning you can drink more and cry less the next morning when you look at your credit card statement. If these guys believe in anything, it’s that a good time doesn’t have to come at a hefty price, and we stan the hell out of that mentality. You will not regret checking this place out!

PONSHU JAPANESE IZAKAYA

Ajito’s sister resto, Ponshu, is an innovative Japanese spot, that serves unreal authentic food, but has tweaked a few things in order to appeal to 0the “Canadian pallet.” From their Chicken Tofu to their Sapporo Beer Battered Onion Rings (drool) their menu is jam-packed full of unique bites, traditional faves, and everything in between.
