Fancy food friends, pay attention! The list of the 100 best restaurants in Canada has been released! Of course, there’s a hefty Calgary presence on there. Us and our eats, what can we say? We’re mildly majorly obsessed. Keep reading for the 9 restos that made the cut.

21. Shokunin

Mad scientist lab or cocktail bar? We’re not sure, but we do know that whatever they have brewing at Shokunin looks seriously tasty. We’re not surprised that their brand of “new Japanese” made the list, especially since chef Darren MacLean represented on Netflix’s The Final Table!

28. Model Milk

Model Milk’s chillin’ in a historic former dairy building, but that’s not the only reason for its popularity. Head chef Justin Leboe (previously of French Laundry, a Michelin-starred restaurant!) has a super delicious menu, too!

29. Pigeonhole

Souffle pancakes, cheeseburger beef dip, coconut grits… we could go all day, but we don’t wanna make you drool too much. Pigeonhole’s menu is killing us softly, but instead of with song, it’s with delicious, delicious food. Bless.

42. River Café

From freshly-shucked oysters to brioche French Toast, River Café has tons of delicious options. All their food is sustainable and local and the space is undeniably gorgeous, so head here to impress your brunch buddy… and maybe take a walk around Prince’s Island after.

47. Ten Foot Henry

80% of the menu at Ten Foot Henry is vegetable-focused, so it’s a safe bet if you’re a vegetarian looking for variety. If you’re just a foodie who wants a tasty meal, they can help you out with that too.

58. Bar Von Der Fels

calgary top 100 restaurants
Bar Von Der Fels has tons of small plates to pair with wine. Sounds simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s not mouthwatering– try their Stuffed Chicken Wings, you won’t regret it.

70. Bridgette Bar

With uniquely rustic decor, like a wall-mounted motorcycle to loads of 1970’s style planters, eclectic rugs and mid-century modern seating and light fixtures, Bridgette Bar is the coolest place to hit for lunch or a boujee dinner. 2nd serving? Don’t mind if we do.

82. Calcutta Cricket Club

From the mango and chili-infused Crushable Gin + Tonic to the rosemary and lemon-focused Kali Ma, you really can’t make a bad choice with Calcutta’s cocktail menu. We recommend pairing your sips with some rainbow crisps (“to encourage drinking”, in Calcutta’s words) and some salty-sweet-spicy Chilli Chicken!

89. Rouge

If you’re into vintage vibes, you’ll like Rouge. The old heritage house gives the place an ultra-authentic ambiance, and the gigantic wine list is something that everyone can get behind.

So, which reservation are we making first? All of them? Great, we’re in. Check out the complete list here.
