You’re invited to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary’s 80th Birthday

Good news! The Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary is celebrating its 80th birthday by unveiling a fully renovated space at the historic Rutledge Hangar. Dubbed the ‘Renfrew Hub’, this one of a kind building offers completely new ways for Calgary’s youth to grow and thrive.

And! They’re inviting all of Calgary to come help them celebrate their birthday! Swing by between 3:30 PM and 6 PM today, September 19, for games, bouncy castles, building tours and much more!

The inclusive centre is focusing on providing a variety of programs and services that cater to every walk of life. The goal? Ensuring that every young person feels safe and respected every time they enter the space.

One aspect that’s unique to Calgary is the new Indigenous Circle Room, which draws on the teachings and traditions of Calgary’s Indigenous Elder’s Council.

Additionally, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary has enlisted the aid of Calgary’s LGBTQ2S+ community to ensure that the full spectrum of Calgary’s youth can be supported and heard.
