As we all know, International Women’s Day is coming up on the second Friday of March. Whether you’ll be laying low with your girlfriends, marching in the streets with peers, or attending a gala as the bell of the ball, make sure that you take a moment and celebrate women’s achievements in history.
The continuation of empowerment and support of our female peers is vital in paving the way towards gender equality. So, if you’re looking to spend the evening getting inspired, we have just the event for you. You’ll spend the night sipping on wine, dining on a beautifully plated dinner, and listening to the words of the keynote speakers.
The International Women’s Day Women & Wealth Gala is hosted by a not-for-profit organization, Women & Wealth Inc. They host these events to empower, inspire and support women all over the country. If you are passionate about being a leader in business, your community, or looking to promote gender equality, then this is a go-to event.
Originally debuting in Edmonton in 2016, this is the first year it will ever be hosted in Calgary, and we’re very excited. Being held at the BMO Center on Friday, March 8th, the evening will be one to remember. The night will kick off with a plated dinner and wine, followed by a raffle draw and post-event reception, while the entire evening will be lead by emcee Aisling Tomei.
The guest speakers are Chantal Kreviazuk, Rachel Mielke, and Marie Bertrand. Those names sound familiar to you? No surprise there! Chantal Kreviazuk is an award-winning musician, Rachel Mielke is the CEO and Founder of Hillberg & Berk, and Marie Bertrand is the CEO of SkinScience. To finish off the evening, you will get to take home a Women’s Day Gift Bag filled with goodies gifted by sponsors such as SkinScience and Junction9.
