What’s coming to Netflix Canada in May

Awe yeah, Netflix just released their lineup for movies and series that are coming to Canada this May. Honestly, it’s looking pretty good to us. We know that might be an unpopular opinion since there are a lot more critics now that Disney+ has been announced, but whatever.

Anyway, let’s check things out. We’re going to give our top picks first, then we’ll list the rest of what Netflix has to offer afterward. Happy bingeing, people!

May 1

Knock Down the House– Netflix Original Film about the rise of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, going to be fun to see what’s going on behind the scenes.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery– Uh, yes, absolutely, please.

Get Out– Jordan Peele’s breakout film, and one that is sure to be studied in university film classes for years to come.

Lost in Translation– Sad boy Bill Murray and Scarlet Johansson means a great film for all those melancholic folks out there.

Psycho (1960)– A real doozy of a psychological thriller, and arguably the start of the genre.

May 3

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile – Zac Efron takes on the infamous Ted Bundy character in this biopic that we’re going to assume might stretch the truth a bit…beginning with the fact that Efron is way too handsome to play Bundy.

Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj: Volume 3– A good social commentary akin to Last Week Tonight, good for when you want to feel edgy.

Spring Breakers– This is your chance to experience Gucci Mane as the boogie man, not the East Atlanta Santa we know and love.

Wanda Sykes: Not Normal– Wanda Sykes is a funny lady, and this is her first standup special in 3 years.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season 6– We binged watched the entire series after putting it off for what? 5 years? Shout out to Netflix for saving it.
