If you’ve never seen Cirque du Soleil, well, it’s about time to change that. You’re in luck, too, because Cirque has just added another entire week of performances to their scheduled Calgary stop later this summer. Demand for the Calgary Cirque du Soleil show has been pretty high, and rightfully so.

Cirque de Soleil's performance in Calgary, titled "Luzia"

Arriving on August 16, 2019, Cirque du Soleil will now be in Calgary until September 22nd, a whole week longer than initially anticipated. That just means we have more time to get mentally ready for a very bizarre, and very, very entertaining show. Works for us!

The visually-stunning LUZIA has been grabbing rave-reviews from around the world. The story consists of a waking dream of Mexico, balancing between fiction and reality in what is sure to be an absolute trip. Let’s hope you handle it a little better than Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd can (also, maybe hold off on the psychedelics).

You can expect some high-flying Trapeze acts and contortionists turning themselves (artfully) into human pretzels. There is also street-dancers, mind-blowing acrobatics, and more to keep you thoroughly entertained all night long. Apparently, there is also some heavy water integration into the Luzia show, so we’re very interested in seeing that.

You can find more information on the show or grab tickets for Luzia right here.
