Are you ready to get folky with it Calgary?? Tomorrow kicks off the first day of the Calgary Folk Music Festival. From Thursday to Sunday, celebrate 40 years of amazing talent from across the globe. Grace your ears and take in the sights and sounds of beautiful musical styling of over 70 artists from around the world.
This 4-day musical extravaganza is a summer staple. Not only does the Calgary Folk Music Festival have the largest outdoor beer garden, but it also features some of the biggest folk and indie headliners from around the world.
Sing along to popular hits like “S.O.B” by Nathaniel Rateliff & Night Sweats, “Call Me in the Afternoon” by Half Moon Run, “Water Fountain” by Tune Yards and so much more! Whether you’re watching on the ATB Mainstage or the National stage, this year’s lineup is stacked with musical talent not to be missed.

We’re always in for a folkin’ good time but a word to the wise, Folk Fest is still a family-friendly event so keeping all curse words and inappropriate behaviours to a dull roar is a must.
Snap as many Insta-worthy pics as possible, just remember no tripods permitted on the grounds. As much as we like to take our furry friends everywhere we go, only service animals are allowed on the grounds during the festival.
