Local coffee shop launches icons to define ethical coffee sourcing
Coffee is so engrained in our daily rituals and we never seem to stop to think too much about where it’s from. Rosso Coffee Roasters has gone the extra mile (actually thousands) to ensure that ethical practices are in play with the coffee they’re brewing for us. They believe you deserve to know who’s behind the production of your coffee.
Recently, Rosso launched a set of internal certifications to clearly define messaging around each of their coffees. Each of the certifications or icons will be proudly labeled on each bag of coffee Rosso launches for the rest of 2019 and beyond.
Rosso wanted to bring a unique form of icons to positively communicate the unique story behind each bag of coffee they produce. Sourcing beans from places around the world including, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, Rwanda, Brazil and more, Rosso’s newly launched icons hope to inform coffee-enthusiasts about their coffee value chain and buying practices.
Between Relationship, Project, 88+ and Green, Rosso’s icons represent Rosso’s commitment to ethically sourcing coffee beans.
Relationship: represents Rosso’s dedication to their relationships with coffee producers
Project: meaning to work hand-in-hand with coffee producers to raise funding and work towards a common goal
88+: showcases Rosso’s dynamic, intriguing and thought-provoking coffee flavors
Green: acknowledges producers who focus on preserving the earth
