‘Fun on the Farm’ Single-Day Camps Come to Butterfield Acres!
Summer isn’t over ‘til Butterfield Acres says it’s over! All through September, they’re offering a variety of fun on the farm single-day camps for the minis in your life aged 5 through 12.
Spending a day at Butterfield Acres is a pretty fantastic experience for animal lovers of any age. But now, as the kiddos head back to school and might be missing their usual school field trips this fall, it’s better than ever. Also, it’s a fun, outdoor environment for interacting with other kids outdoors if they’re being home-schooled this year!
If you need more convincing that these day camps are a blast, just wait until we tell you about the critters they have for you to feed and take care of.
Each day camp has a different theme and personally, we want to sign up for all of them! Here’s what you can expect:
- Horse Crazy Monday – Happy campers will get to ride a pony, help saddle up and brush their horse, and visit the donkeys, draft horses, and miniature horses.
- Snoutstanding Wednesday – Campers will visit the Big Pig, the piglets, and the potbellies. The chickens and their baby chicks will be there too!
- Goats Galore – Campers will get to see an assortment of goats, from babies to pygmies to dairy goats!
- Moovelous Monday – Cows and calves and zebus, oh my! Campers even get to snuggle with the sheep and lambs.
- Alpaca Your Bags – Each camper will get to make an edible craft to feed to a bunny, as well as spend some quality time with the llamas and alpacas!
- Farmtastic Friday – The whole farmyard will be available for exploration by curious campers – everything from tiny chicks to giant draft horses!
If you’re a fan of the farm but, like us, you’re not between the ages of 5 to 12, Butterfield Acres has some amazing fall events coming up for adults!
Harvest Pumpkin Date Nights will be starting up again in October! The physically-distanced, adult-only event will offer a unique fall experience with a pumpkin patch, fall-themed photo ops, firepits, and of course – all the cute farm animals!
