Home of the Week: 1708 Suffolk Street SW
Via Michael K Mccafferty, CIR Realty

Alright, folks. Here is the inaugural “Home of the Week” segment on Curiocity Calgary. We will now highlight homes for sale all over the city on a weekly basis. Here you can keep an eye on trends, spot your dream house, or just drool over the possibilities of owning a home in this city (kind of like we do). Enjoy!
First up is this ridiculously cool mid-century bungalow in the desirable neighbourhood of Upper Scarboro. This one is a dream, folks (and not a crazy, unreachable dream either).

With two bedrooms and three baths spread across just over 2,000 square feet, this home retains the feel of a modest bungalow, while boasting all of the upscale finishings of a movie-stars mansion.
We’re talking renovated hardwood floors, kitchen, bathrooms, crown moldings, wainscotting (we had to google that)…you name it, they’ve re-done it.

For all you professional (amateur) chefs out there, this kitchen is all you could ask for. Walnut cabinets, a Jenn-Aire cooktop, top-of-the-line appliances, it’s got all the goodies.
Throw in the delightful kitchen nook and you might as well be eating inside an Architectural Digest advertisement.

Nearby schools, parks, and the LRT make this a perfect setting to set up shop with the family. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant, but you’re always just a stone’s throw away from the city-centre if you ever feel like picking up the pace for a night on the town.
Seriously, just look at this view!

With ten rooms, a fully developed basement, and a double-car garage, this sneaky walkout bungalow is more expansive than meets the eye. We’re not mathematicians, but we’re pretty certain there’s enough square footage for a man-cave, a woman-cave, and a kids-cave in this basement. You won’t know until you try!

Oh, and don’t miss the private deck and outdoor hot tub. We know that’s practically a must-have if you’re trying to relax during a Calgary winter.

The house is listed at a very reasonable $1.1M, and we can only hope there’s a way to negotiate for all this gorgeous furniture as well.
