Happy Hour of the Week: Giant margs, tacos, and beer at Tropical
Let’s roll into the short week on a tropical note, shall we? Time to get Tuesday going with the Calgary Happy Hour of the Week! Coast your way right into Friday with all the summer vibes you need, even if it’s cold and rainy out. The more tacos you eat, the less Calgary-ish it seems out there.

Let’s mosey over to Tropical on 17th. Calgary may not be the beachiest of towns, but this is a great spot to get your fix of everything that reminds you of that Mexican vacation you took when you were a kid. Toss on some bead braids and a puka shell necklace and you’re golden.
This happy hour is going to take a hot second for us to get through, which means it’s a hella solid one. What else is going to take a hot second is us throwing on the Abercrombie shirt and flip flops we rocked on that Mexico vacay. Mom, where’d you put those?
There’s weekday specials all day (!!) so let’s get started!
Tuesday
- Taco Tuesday (duh), $2.50 tacos and 1/2 price tequila
Wednesday
- $7 margaritas and $6 chips and salsa
Thursday
- Taco Thursday, in case Tuesday wasn’t enough. Same deals as Tuesday, plus $5 Corona and a live DJ
Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, here’s what we’re looking at Friday- Sunday:
Friday & Saturday
- From 4-6 PM, get 1/2 price tequila, $2.50 tacos, and $6 mojitos
Sunday
- From 4-10 PM, get $3 tequila, $4 off duckie bowls, $4 off giant margs, and 5 for $25 Sol Beer
