Happy Hour of the Week: English bites & brews for $4.95 at Newcastle

Happy Tuesday, friends! Like many of you, one of our New Year’s resolutions was to travel more. Realistically, the only place we can afford to travel to is the pub after a long day of work. Luckily, places like the Newcastle Pub exist! This Curiocity Calgary Happy Hour of the Week is one TSA agent away from an actual Eurotrip.

Calgary’s Newcastle Pub is authentically English. Every detail is just right. From the decor to the crowd, and even the way you open one of their menus, this place is on point with the laid back, all-jokes atmosphere you’ll only find in the UK.

At Newcastle, the food is quintessentially Brit. Choose from things like bangers and mash or fish and chips, shepherd’s pie or their American werewolf in London burger. It’s all inspired by our friends across the pond, and insanely delish.

If you’re looking for comfort food, this is your place. However, it’s also your place if you’re looking for killer happy hour deals.

You can practically come to this place with pocket change and eat well, drink well, and feel well taken care of. For only $4.95 between 3 pm and 6 pm Monday to Sunday, you can sip on your choice well highballs or house wines. Also enjoy domestic bottles or feature drafts, which include a selection of Wildrose beers, Kokanee, Blue Buck, Bud Light and Brass Monkey.
