Bite of the Week: Chocolate lava souffle pancakes

Greetings loved ones, let’s take a journey. Specifically a food-filled journey, brought to you by the creative minds behind the Curiocity Calgary Bite of the Week! Sweet tooths (teeth?), this one’s for you. Meet Yellow Door’s Chocolate Soufflé Pancakes with Molten Chocolate Centres.
You’ve probably seen souffle pancakes before, since they’ve shot to Insta fame in recent times. However, this isn’t just a trend move for Yellow Door– they’ve actually had them on the menu in Calgary for years. Only difference is this time they’re filled with melty dark chocolate.
That’s not all, though. You’ll notice a cloud of chantilly cream on top of the cakes, and juicy BC cherries coating the plate. The dark chocolate pairs amazingly with the boozy fruit, which was preserved in red wine with star anise, orange, and peppercorns. MMmmmMMMM.
