Cowboys Tent seeks go ahead for East Village location

Everyone has been biting their nails over the fate of our beloved Cowboys Stampede Tent. BMO construction really threw us for a loop on this one, but we finally have some news to share. According to a source close to Curiocity, it’s all going down where the Enoch House used to be.

If you wanna get more specific, we’re talking about the block between 11/12 Ave SE and 3 St and Macleod Trail. It’ll be right up in The Guardian condos’ grill, so if you live there you might wanna invest in some earmuffs to block out the yeehaws. Or just join in. (If ya can’t beat ’em…)

As per usual, the beer garden would run for 10 days from July 5-14. However, the tent would stay onsite until October for events like the Canadian Country Music Awards (Sept 5-8), movie nights, indoors sports, and farmers/arts markets. Hear that, hooligans? Don’t ruin the tent. We’re gonna need it later.

Of course, this isn’t 100% confirmed yet. It’s up to Beltline folks to decide whether Cowboys goes through with development. What do you think, Calgary? We in for this? Yeehaw for yes, tip your hat for no.
