Maybe you’ve been hitting up Recordland for years. If that’s the case, you know it’s a hidden gem; a place you can spend hours sorting through a world of records from artists far and wide.
But maybe you’ve just seen photos of it on Instagram. You added it to your list, but you’ve put off exploring the actual spot. We’re here to tell you to quit it with the procrastination, Calgary! It’s time to pay this iconic shop a visit.
Recordland is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t yet been. With friendly staff that know more than a thing or two about music, it doesn’t matter what you’re looking for. Even if you have no clue what you’re looking for, they’ll find it for you. (Basically, they’re human Spotifys.)

The floor-to-ceiling shelves have records from every artist and every genre you could ever imagine. From the Eagles to the XX to Anderson Paak, the variety of music here is top notch.
What’s more, the vibes here are fun and vintage. The only downside? The space does get pretty tight, so we recommend going with only one or two friends, and leaving your claustrophobia at home.
Fill up your cart and get ready to load your hipster-approved record player with some true classics! You can’t find this stuff anywhere else, so get ready to flex on all your pals.
And one final pro tip: Recordland is known to have solid sales every once in a while, so make sure to follow their FB page for updates.
