Look, we all know the Canadian stereotypes. Apparently, we snowshoe everywhere, we’re super nice, and we’re obsessed with maple syrup. Well, it’s time to embrace those Calgary. Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is hosting its first ever Great Canadian Sugar Rush Festival!
Maple is a staple when it comes to Canadian grub, so it’s no surprise that a festival in The Rockies has finally sprung up. The Great Canadian Sugar Rush Festival is to celebrate the start of the Canadian Maple Season (cue stereotype #3). We’ll be diving into maple syrup taffy, maple-inspired cocktails, and maple-themed outdoor activities, which means things are getting pretty sweet. No, don’t worry, we aren’t going to bombard you with sugar-based puns.

Aside from the sticky stuff though, there will also be a dog sleigh display, a skating party, and an ice-chipping station. Also, get ready for wagon rides, a beavertail contest, live tunes, and a bonfire. Not to mention the fat-tire biking, mountain yoga, stargazing, and snowshoe tours. It’s endless fun, honestly.
Whether you take part in all the scheduled activities or just kick back with a maple treat, we guarantee a good time. Click right here to start planning your Canadian escapade, eh?
