Calgary’s local art comes to life during Inglewood’s 2021 outdoor AR exhibit

We don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to escape for a while. We’ve had those days too, which is why what Inglewood is doing right now is so cool. From now until February 25th Calgarians looking to get far out and about can hit the trendy neighbourhood for the Northern Reflections AR Art exhibit.
During this six-week exhibition, Calgary shoppers can visit the areas and stop by the windows of local businesses where teams of artists (painters, musicians and animators) will have displayed their work.

By using the Augle App and hovering over the art with the camera on your phone, these unique murals will come to life on the screen. This entire thing is kind of a pre-cursor to what we can expect during next month’s Chinook Blast Festival – another 6-week long event planned by the city in order to celebrate the winter season.
The best part? Well, not only is this event totally free, but it’s completely COVID-safe and is one of the easiest ways to support local businesses, artists and your lungs (thanks to the fresh air you’ll be getting) so download the app, mask up and check it out! It’s going to be magical!
