It’s almost too good to be true, but Alla says it’s all due to her need to downsize. She wasn’t getting any offers, despite lowering the market price… hence the creation of Write a Letter, Win a House.

So what does she want to read? Well, the ex-librarian is simply asking people to explain how ownership of the house could change their life. Whether you write a story, a poem, or a mind-blowing rap is up to you.

Since the entry fee is $25, Alla’s hoping for 60,000 entries to recover the value of her investment in the 5,000 sq-ft, three-bedroom home, which is decked out with a piano room and a wine cellar.
