Cineplex is bringing classics back to the big screen

Even if you’re young, there’s something lovely about the good old days. Whether that’s the 80s, 90s, or *shudder* the 00s for you, a little nostalgia can go a long way. That’s one of the reasons we are so excited for the Cineplex Flashback Film Series! Running from January until April, you’ll be able to catch some old-school flicks on the silver screen. Here are all the details you need to know!

Superman

Synopsis: An alien orphan is sent from his dying planet to Earth, where he grows up to…C’mon, people, you should know this plot. It’s Superman!
When: January 18-31

Being John Malkovich

Synopsis: A puppeteer discovers a portal that leads literally into the head of movie-star John Malkovich. It’s definitely a weird one, but hey, normal is boring after all.
When: February 15-28

Thelma & Louise

Synopsis: Two best friends set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two women escape for the crimes they committed. Oh, and there is a young, shirtless Brad Pitt. Just FYI!

Spaceballs

Synopsis: A rogue star pilot and his trusty sidekick must come to the rescue of a Princess and save the galaxy from a ruthless race of beings known as Spaceballs. It’s funny, it’s dumb, and it’s the perfect escape from any montony your day-to-day might have.

The Matrix

Synopsis: A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against its controllers.
When: March 29 – April 11
