Parts of Alberta are actually expected to get snow this weekend

We would just like to apologize to anyone affected by this story in advance. We really didn’t think we’d be dropping the ‘S’ word already. While most Canadians will be lathered up in sunscreen, hitting the beach, and enjoying the sunshine, some – very unlucky people in Alberta will be shovelling snow.
According to the Weather Network, a weak low-pressure system is headed for the Rockies, carrying with it gross, unwanted, winter-like precipitation.

“Overnight lows will hover near freezing on Sunday night, allowing for high elevation snow along the foothills,” says The Weather Network meteorologist Jessie Uppal on their website.
Of course, Alberta is no stranger to snow or quirky weather, especially during Labour Day – we just thought Mother Nature would cut em’ some slack, you know… because 2020 has been the pits.
Good luck out there, folks! If you’re camping in the mountains, consider bringing every blanket you own, and several pairs of socks. If you’re staying home – throw on some Mariah Carey and set up a Christmas tree or something.
