MyFare Calgary Transit ticketing app now available on iOS!

Last week, those who take the train regularly were pretty excited to hear that the city had finally launched a paperless ticketing app. This bad boy had been years in the making and was promised to save public transport riders a few minutes of their precious time. Unfortunately, the MyFare Calgary Transit App kind of fell flat for Apple users – but we come bearing good news! The app is now up and running on iOS mobile devices!

By downloading MyFare, users are able to purchase single ride passes, as well as monthly stubs right on their cellphones. These tickets can be conveniently scanned while boarding the bus and can be shown on the LRT if requested by transit officers.
For those who aren’t super familiar with the app store or don’t have a smartphone or, Calgary Transit will still sell and accept paper passes, which is probably a good thing, just in case.
