Happy Friday Eve, folks! The weather is fine, and the to-do list is bumpin’. This week the city officially kicked off phase 1 of Alberta’s relaunch strategy, so there’s a ton to do, see and enjoy, from socially responsible distances, of course! If you’re not ready to take on the world quite yet, don’t worry, we’ve got you guys covered too! Home is where the heart is after all. Here are 8 things to do at home and around Calgary this weekend!

Check out the very last balcony bash

The YYC Balcony Bash was by far, the most colourful way Calgarians could communicate while physically distancing themselves from their neighbours. This lively event kicks off at 6:30 every Friday night with music live from the rooftop patio at Broken City and is broadcast on Twitch for the rest of the city! This is your last chance, so you won’t want to miss it!

When: Friday, May 29th
Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Hit a patio

It could be 30°C and sunny every single day in Calgary, but without a cold drink and some fresh air, it wouldn’t really feel like summer. This week, Calgary got the green light to begin the most anticipated step of Alberta’s phase 1 relaunch strategy, opening bars and restaurants. This means patio season is officially upon us, folks!

Have a virtual party

MIXR is taking quarantine parties to the next level.  The company has finally introduced our dream virtual chat that allows from 2 to 200 people, synced group music for everyone to jam out to and games.

Check out the newly opened Heritage Park

Heritage Park is back, baby! The attraction began reopening in phases on May 27th, starting with the Haskayne Mercantile Block shops. This will include the Toy Shoppe and Switzer’s. As well as the Plaza Mercantile and Corner Emporium!

Where: 1900 Heritage Dr. SW
Time: 10 am – 5 pm
