Meet the Queens competing in the first-ever season of Canada’s Drag Race!

Shant-EH, they’re here to stay! The creators of Canada’s first-ever season of Drag Race have just announced its cast list of tongue popping, mind-blowing, wig snatching contestants.

It’s almost here and we actually couldn’t be more excited! If you’re unfamiliar with Drag Race here’s a simplified rundown. 12 of the countries fiercest queens will compete week to week in a series of humorous, fashion-forward, theatrical challenges, meant to test their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Whew, that’s a mouthful.

At the end of each challenge, the bottom competitors will “lip-synch for their life” and one will be sent packing until only one is left standing.

Among this year’s cast are icons, newcomers, and veterans from Toronto, Waterloo, Montreal, Victoria, and Vancouver. These ladies are prepared to dance, sing, act, and sew their way to the title of Queen in the North… and a small cash prize of $100,000.

In addition to notable queens, the spinoff will have a panel of judges almost everyone is sure to recognize. Brooke-Lynn Hytes, a finalist on season 11 of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, will be joined by Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman from UnREAL, and Stacey McKenzie from America’s Next Top Model.

This season will be 10 episodes long and premiere July 2nd on Crave TV. You will not want to miss this, folks!
