Oy, vey. Well, we can’t really say that we’re surprised, but we are sorry folks. Calgary has just announced that all public events have been banned until August 31st, 2020.

Yesterday, several large-scale city gatherings scheduled for July, including Stampede and the Calgary Folk Festival, publically declared that they would be cancelling this year’s events due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In lieu of the lack of in-person celebrations, the government and organizations have mentioned that some events, like Canada Day, might be held virtually, so we at least have that to look forward too!

Next year will be twice the party, guys. We can promise you that. We’re in this together! Take care of each other, take care of yourself, and stay indoors!
