Escape the real world and battle in VR at ACTIVR Calgary

Is it presumptuous to think we could actually all use an escape from reality right about now? Events are being cancelled left and right and Tom Hanks is in quarantine. Tom Hanks! At ACTIVR Calgary, only a single Lysol wipe stands between you and several alternate worlds, games and tournaments.
ACTIVR is a virtual reality arena where, unlike your mom’s basement, players will have 1,600 square feet of open space to roam free. Teams of 3 can go head to head (contact-free) in round-robin style competitions where players can win cash prizes or free games. The stakes are high, so things get pretty crazy here folks.

Each game may be played in one of two modes. Takedown mode is where you score by shooting and taking down opposing players. Territory control mode is where players can score by standing on and retaining control of their area on a map. Kind of like Capture the Flag.
Tourneys range anywhere from $75 a team (or $25 a player) to $105 a team (or $35 a player) depending on how hard you feel like throwing it down. Shall we give it a go?
