Happy hour of the week: Fancy cocktails and live music at The King Eddy
Happy Tuesday, peeps! Welcome back to another Curiocity Calgary Happy Hour of the Week! Looking for somewhere to escape Calgary’s winter wonderland? Well, we can’t offer you a beach full of sand or a sky full of sun, but we can offer you a roof over your head, live music, and cheap drinks at The King Edward Hotel. Drink enough and you can basically be where ever the heck you want!

Since we’re closing in on another decade, we’re starting to reflect on Calgary’s past… We’re pretty deep here at Curiocity. If walls could talk The King Eddy would be able to tell you some wild stories. It’s been a hotel, a musical haven, a goner, and a restaurant and bar… twice!

This place is iconic. Not only will you eat well and drink well at The King Eddy, but you might also learn a thing or two and even catch a concert. The former hotel has a wicked history and a pretty decent happy hour! Let’s check it out, shall we?
All week during happy hour, beer lovers can sip and save on craft beers for only $7 a pint. The King Eddy carries local favorites like Village, Cold Garden, Mill Street and Wild Rose (Just to name a few.) They also rotate their tap pretty often if you’re in the mood for something new!
Looking for something proof heavy? King Eddy’s classic cocktails are only $8! These guys are liquor pros, so you know whatever you choose will be top-notch.

- Hayburner – Beefeater Gin, Drambuie, ginger, lime, pickled jalepeño
- Est. 1905 – Espolòn Reposado Tequila, Triple Sec, pink cranberry, pink peppercorn
- Dewdrops – Pisco, Fino Sherry, ginger, cucumber, lime, Annex Ginger Beer
- Seabiscuit – Bulleit Bourbon, N/V Casa de la Ermita Cava, peach, cardamom, lemon
- Bearcat- Beefeater Gin, Drambuie, ginger, lime, pickled jalepeño
- Coke ‘n’ Nuts – Bulleit Bourbon, Mexican Coca-Cola, salted peanuts
So dinner, drinks, and a show? It all sounds pretty good to us! Happy hour runs from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm from Mondays until Saturdays, and then ALL day on Sunday!
