Well, folks, we are officially looking at Calgary things to do in September now. How do you feel? Different? Yeah, us too. We’re going to try and get back in the summer mood with the things to do this weekend. With any luck, we can stretch out the summer vibes by at least 2 more weeks.
Here are 8 things to do this weekend in Calgary.
Attend a concert at the former Cowboys Tent
Somebody forgot to tell the former Cowboys Tent that summer is over, because they’re continuing to host big events. This weekend is no different, with country bands playing there all three days.

Cirque du Soleil: LUZIA
In our opinion, LUZIA might just be the best Cirque du Soleil production of all time. But don’t take our word for it- get some tickets and see for yourself. Trust us, it’s more than worth it.

Monster Jam
Guaranteed to be the rowdiest thing you can do this weekend. What’s more, hometown hero Cam McQueen will be driving Northern Nightmare. What makes him special? How about the fact that he did the first backflip in competition ever.

Up your cooking game
Shoutout to ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen for being the newest destination for Calgary cooking classes! Take your taste buds on a decadent journey with drool-worthy dishes that aim to please! Stop in this weekend for a hands-on cooking class ‘Cakes Made Easy’ starting at 10am – 1pm.
