Buckle up Calgary, some major Insta gold is coming your way. The BUMP Festival is just one week away, and it’s set to blow up our city’s walls with 15 stunning new murals by top local, national and international artists! Oh, and wicked parties, of course.
Let’s start things off with the massive Inner City Brewing Alley Party, shall we? Featuring some of the hottest DJs, electronic and hip-hop artists, this thing is popping off. Seattle producer and DJ Sango and Miami-born NYC-based DJ and producer Jubilee will be there, plus Juno-nominated Montreal rapper Lou Phelps.

So jam out, then join a guided mural tour or artist talk with Contemporary Calgary. After that, relax at a movie in the park curated by the Calgary Underground Film Festival. The 2008 film BEAUTIFUL LOSERS will be showing under the stars alongside an Inner City Brewing beer garden and food trucks… so yeah, it’s gonna be a good time.

On the art side, the 2019 murals draw together a unique juried selection of artists. We’re talkin’ gravity-defying murals from Spain’s Cinta Vidal, “splintered animals in motion” from China’s Dal East, large-scale portraits from the US’s Guido Van Helten, and electrifying graffiti from Calgary’s own TheKidBelo. Get ready to feast your eyes, ’cause this year’s BUMP lineup is absolutely stacked.
We’d say you’ll see us there, but we’re not sure you’ll be able to take your eyes off the unreal art being made around you. For full festival info click right here!
