Rental of the Week: Suave lakeside living just outside city limits
Via Jared Chamberlain / Chamberlain Group

Good afternoon! May we take your coat? Can we offer you a drink? We’re so glad that you’ve decided to join us! Please, take a seat and straighten your tie, this Calgary Rental of the Week is serving serious old money/debonair/aftershave realness.
CALGARY RENTAL OF THE WEEK

The gated community of Stonepine is our destination today. This monster of a home sits only seconds away from a crystal clear lake on a bed of the greenest grass we’ve ever seen. When you enter through the front door, you’re immediately taken aback by the gorgeous black walnut beams and grand staircase.
Also, we were wowed right away by the light fixtures throughout. They do a really great job bridging the gap between the modern exterior of the home and classic interior. Nice touch!

The kitchen is spacey, bright, has access to the patio and outdoor fireplace, and has the best appliances money can buy. There’s plenty of room to add a dining table or entertain, which is exactly what you want out of a house that’s over 6,000 square feet.

Also included in that 6,000 square feet? A gargantuan wine cellar fit for the drunkest of Kings. It seriously goes on as far as the eyes can see. This is by far the coolest and most impressive room in the entire house but has us asking, who actually has that many bottles of wine?
The main floor living room has a massive stone fireplace and a little book-nook with a really nice view of your perfect lawn… but good luck reading anything with that hypnotizing green glow just outside your window.

The master bedroom includes a fireplace and like every other bedroom in the house, has a spa-like ensuite and walk-in closet; which is exactly what we like to hear.
So what will this bad boy cost you? Only $8,000 a month, which is totally justifiable, right? Maybe you could sub-lease the giant wine cellar as another bedroom? Problem solved.
